For my first few months lurking on this board I'd assumed it meant "Old Body".. even after seeing people write Old Bugger, as it never occurred to me that a group of americans would have the word bugger in common usage

I'm a brit, and my wife's american, and my experience with in-laws and friends says americans don't generally use the word bugger (or ****** )

I think Charley B's prediction about pre-S4 body style is spot on.. although I think that time is a lot closer than 2019

Ignorance is no excuse.

"Other" as it's '78s and '79s. CIS with no spoilers.

Be advised that people in our great state of Ohio play a game called "cornhole"... it's some sort of beanbag game, but damn, that name!

I don't feel I'm qualified to vote in this poll since I'm still a newbie and looking to some of you OBs to enlighten me. I'm taking notes as fast as I can, but if you guys can't decide what the answer is, how am I supposed to learn all this stuff?

Just let me know when the 928 SOOP (Summit Of Old People) is done deciding and notify us all of your decisions.

a little respect to Jay for coining the name. let's not bastardise it. it's Jay's definition to change, not ours.

It's become part of the 928 community lexicon. We'll bastardize it as we deem appropriate!

'78 & '79, not sure about '80. CIS cars with no spoilers was my understanding.

The reality is that pretty much ALL of the cars are old 'somethings'. We need to come up with generation-specifc 'something' for the post-OB cars (those would be the '80-on models for those not following closely...).

NQAOB for the 80-84 16v cars. (Not Quite An Old Bugger)

NNAOB for the 84-86.5 cars with 32V (Nowhere Near An Old Bugger)

BADOM for S4 and GT (Barely A Dirty Old Man)

Someone come up with a good one for GTS models.
