SHARKWERKS???
Hey, what kinda name is that for a Porsche shop that claims to be 996/997 Specialists??? No mention about being 928 specialists.
I spotted their ad when I logged on to rennlist. Shark fin logo and all.
Since when has any Porsche other than the 928 been referred to as shark?

I've watched a couple vids of their (now sold) shop project 996 twin turbo that got a lot of magazine coverage. Holy Sheeeeeeeit - wicked fast.
After seeing how slick and predatory that car is, IMO the name can be shared.

Heh... sorry guys, I know the name is "borrowed" from the 928 but it's also the M6 from the 80s as well... Thanks for the kind words and yes we're strictly 996/997'ers

The name caught my eye at first too. They're a good group.
I bought rad screens from Alex and will at some point buy their exhaust bypass for my GT3.
No 928 stuff unfortunately but we have some good vendors for that.

Thanks for the kind words and actually once upon a time one of the owners did do quite a bit of work on 928s so he knows them to a degree

Who has EVER called a 996/997 a Shark???? Never heard that before. They don't even LOOK like a shark! 928's on the other hand... been sharks since DAY ONE!
Alex, your cars look good, even if you missed the boat on the name! LOL! Just glad someone is tuning the 996/997's now maybe they can keep up with our old S4's! HA, HA! Just bustin' ya... I LOVE the 997's and have driven a few 996's too but only the TT's are worth having if you are used to anything S4 or newer on the 928 front.

Nice marketing on the exhaust system. Enjoyed the soundfest on the video. Sounds great.
Like the V8 idea, four doors are fine if well executed. Four doors with little rear leg room is dumb and a waste. Much prefer a two door coupe with a rear hatch. Performance is a strange thing these days. Ever the hp competition, I prefer balance, integrity of transition and being able to dive into a corner at good speed and accelerate out with authority without worrying too much about my a$$ end trading places. I'd like to see a high winding V8 with solid low end torque. Reason I like the 928 over comparable 911 years are all of the above plus exclusivity. That last word is no longer an option for Porsche/VW. It is all about production and high volume. Price for exclusivity in a world car these days is $200k+. Which is about the price point of a 1995 GTS if you factor in inflation.
Not many in the present 928 universe that can afford a present iteration of our cars. Most of us are average joes/jills scratching hard to make a buck with a love for a car that was/is a world beater in many ways but can be had for less than $30k total for purchase and general fix-up (excluding GTS). As you know there is a larger proportion of taildragger owners that have the means to upgrade frequently and who can pay the lofty sums for today's super cars. It is those buyers Porsche needs to convert not the 928 owners who mostly will dream.
Me? If I could and if I lived some place where I could take advantage of it, I'd be putting my money down for an R10. That should be the Porsche target. Make a four door with similar performance and unique styling and I think people will buy it. Mass public is still trying to believe Audi is a performance contender, those of us into performance cars already know this. Porsche will need to court the Cayenne crowd to be succesful.
