I'll go down and look at it on Sat. If it looks fairly complete, I'll take it. My kid is going to need a car, and I can do with another 928.

That one has been up for sale for quite a while now. I haven't gone o look at it. You might get a good deal on it, but I think the condition is pretty rough

I bought that one Monday

Condition is certainly rough. Some frame damage up front along the support that is right below the radiator, some rust here and there, the window was left open and so was the hatch so there is water inside and its got some other little things here, there, everywhere. Only 82k miles though so if I want to help another 928 I want along with parts they are there, or maybe Ill just part it out... no idea yet. I have a post about identifying a euro from a non and Ive recently asked questions about it on there but have yet to really investigate.

Formula,

Where are you located?

Take a look at the engine number - it is stamped on the block just below the upper radiator hose (I borrowed this picture from 928 Specialists web site) :

For an 80 Euro, the M28/09 is the 229 hp version and the 28/11 is the 300hp hot-rod

Its broken off the block, the discussion about what it is, is on that other post, but I havent done the work to find out which it is yet. Ill pull the intake and compare to another us model intake I have sooner than later... I'm located in Plano btw.

No need to pull the intake. You can see the runnner numbers with teh air intakes off. You can also see the head number on the drivers side through the spider. Should be 348 for the 300hp Euro and 346 for the 229HP Euro. Also look at the throttle body, if it has a 1/2 lip at the bottom from the body to the bolts, it;s the 229. If the lip it very small 1/8 inch, it's the larger TB and therefor the 300HP.

If worse gets to worst you sell a couple parts and get your money back. Sounds to me like you replace a few parts check out a few others and you got yourself a nice ride for little $$$

this rarely applies to a 928 and is totally subjective to your definition of "little $$$"
