Default You Guys Are Great! Thanks!

Hey guys. I just want to say THANKS for welcoming me into the fold. You guys made me truly feel at home even though I had only known you for a few hours. I will most definately be participating in upcoming meets and events. I think that what you guys have is a very special thing. As many of you said, "we all have that common bond". HAIL TO PORSCHE 928 !

I was the new guy with the red 1989 S4 that arrived late. I got to do the fun run which was great! I just finished watching the videotape from the fun run yesterday (camera in hand....sticking out of the sunroof). It's noisy as heck (buffeting wind), but it really made me smile. Who'da thunk I'd get to drive in a 15 or 20 car 928 caravan. SWEET!

The video camera is new, so I have a learning curve to figure out how to create a .mpg file to put the video on the Rennlist. It's digital so it shouldn't be a problem (time is the challenge). In the interim. Here are some of the stills I took (stills are not this camera's strong feature, but they're ok). CHEERS EVERYONE! I look forward to many days with you guys!

What a great time we had. Thanks to Steve, Greg, and Michael for getting this event off the ground. As stated, Jerome took us on a fantastic ride through horse country. I said to Carl, and Dave on the way back that I use to look forward to seeing the 928's, now I look forward to seeing our friends. What a great group of people. And as a bonus we got to help celabrate James 8th birthday!
And a big thanks to 928 Specialist for their continued dedication to the 928 community.

The staff Autobahn Ambition Magazine had a great time at the Frenzy 11 event. We selected some of the 928s in attendence and did a photoshoot for a future 928 article.

We look forward to doing the event again next year.

I'll try to find the pics, I know that I have posted them of the seat both forward and rear facing in the car.

Michael,

Thanks for the follow-up. I dropped you an email from my yahoo account a day or so ago regarding the Recaro. I also want to thank you, Ernest, Wayne, Wayne, etc. for the warm welcome.

Best,
Eric

Thanks Carl. It was truly great to meet you and the guys. Now I have a new goal for next year! Get the car ready for SITM. Between now and then I hope to be seeing everyone at other GTGs. I can lend a hand if someone needs assistance (I have to get back into wrench-turning mode anyway).

I'm still looking at making some upgrades between now and next season, while continuing with the restoration thing.

When exactly is SITM?

Traditionally it's the first weekend in June. I don't think they plan on changing it anytime soon.

Sounds like you guys had good weather, a lot of new people and a great time. Thanks for all the pics. Well done! I was bummed that I couldn't make it as I had to be in Las Vegas. It was good to see that the ususal crowd was there and I wish I could have caught up with you guys (Michael, Tony, DR, Jeannie, Carl, Matt, Beerfish, Rixter, etc.) but I'll have to make one of the VA/MD/DC get-togethers in the fall.
