Many have done it. Mel Ward ( MGW FL ) and Ross (Whitefox) are two FL guys who have done it. PM them and I'm sure they could tell you all you want to know about it.

Vinyl ike this ? if so its just like a typical vinyl install - tricky but doable.
I recommend - do it on a new foam - better to use foam with a slick finished surface (e.g. aircraft insulation foam works well - like Rob sells or wholesale from wicks etc..).
Take the hood off - you are making it way too difficult otherwise.
Figure out the alignment in advance - eg masking tape etc
Clean the foam surface
Align the decal - start either at one broad end or ideally in the middle if your backing is split that way.
Gently massage the decal down - peel as you go - you have to be more gentle than normal so you dont stretch the foam too much - just go slow...

IMHO, the best way to do it, they way I did mine of course, was just like installing number plate stickers.
Wash the foam. Peel off the sticker and set aside (CAREFULLY). Spray the sticky part and the foam lightly with glass cleaner.
Put the sticker where you want it, then you can slide it around lightly to adjust how it sits and where.
Grab some paper towels and gradually wipe it off until it starts to evaporate and form the seal (becoming tacky and more difficult to move).
Some people also use a hair dryer but Im bald so I dont have one. HA!
If you start to dry it from the inside out the few bubbles will press out. Not easy by any means but be patient.
If you get stuck with a few small bubbles you can always spray on top again and pop with needle, it will dry like there never was a bubble.

Here's mine, Rob Budd has it all, neoprene liner & stickers. Not too bad, I didn't take my hood off, but my back didn't appreciate that too much. Just be careful if you get any bubbles in the neoprene. Per Rob, just take a pin & put some small holes in it & that will solve the problem. I got to order a new main section from him due to tearing it attempting to remove a bubble in the corner that I should of left alone. Fortunately, I had not installed the Porsche logo decal yet.
Pardon my dusty hood.

My decal will not seperate correctly, I pealed the decal from the heavy paper and some of it sticks to the heavy paper and some sticks to the translucent paper. I'm assuming you peal it back from the heavy paper and the decal should stay with the see through paper then apply it. I may have left it in the garage too long its very sticky in between.

Try to pull the paper back parallel to the sticker. If you lift up it is more likely to seperate. Go slow and use your finger to push down the sticker when it comes up.
Oh and put the sticker on AFTER you put the liner on the hood. I added mine first and in adjusting the liner caused ripples. I have a new set but have been waiting to redue the whole thing.
