Paying Rennlisters back?

Well, I renewed my membership today to celebrate getting the car to pass emissions. Six months of sitting and having two "928 mechanics" tell me that they were too busy to address the problem are over and I owe it all to you folks on Rennlist.
My previous post was about the boots connecting the plenums to the intake. You all walked me through it and when I turned the key the engine fired right up and was running smoothly again. I still need to put the big boots on when 928 Intl sends them and tighten that center piece on the intake, but the car is running and the state of TN is happy.
Because I am at best a novice when working on these cars, there isn't a lot of help or advice I can offer. On the other hand, you folks have saved me SO much money helping me do repairs that I wish there was something I could do in return. If anyone has any thoughts let me know. Maybe a contribution to a retirement facility for senile owners of sharks suffering from post traumatic timing belt failure fatigue?
Regardless, I can't thank you all enough. For those of you who aren't members, I would encourage you to toss the relatively miniscule membership fee into the pot to keep this group going!
Thanks again to all!

I'd say that a lot of the list started out just as you have. In need of information and then put it to use. As with most internet forums, people come and go, it is quite possible that in a few years, you will have given the information to someone that is in this same position.
That's called "paying it forward"
Congrats on getting the car going again.

Congrats Patrick - see you at SITM next year? It'll be my first time going, but I plan on it no matter what...
