Heres an update on the progress of the shark. I finished all the body work needed and the car is primed waiting to go into the paint shop. The interior has seen a major face lift and now is extremely clean. The engine is running and is currently driving just waiting for the parts to come in to finish the work to make it a reliable daily driver.

Is it hard to replace the rear muffler with an RMB? Can that be custom made? Or would I be better off just ordering one?

30 minutes max to replace muffler with RMB. People on this list have done both as far as ordering one or making their own. I haven't made one but Killav did and it sounds great. I got mine from 928RUS.

There is no RMB for the 16 valve , we do have a complete stainless exhaust system from the four bolt flange on the cat to the rear of the car.

Jim I looked for a complete stainless however all i found was from years 85 and up did I miss something? What kind of power gains are expected from that cat back? I was also thinking about a Y pipe with no cats. I'm sure people on here have done that. Can anyone whose done this tell me what they're experience was? good? bad? Any noticeable increase in power?

So today was a great day. I finally got around to putting the 928 on the road. I was really impressed with how it pulled extremely hard for having over 200k on it. The only problem I had noticed was that it was grinding in every gear but not all the time though. It was really weird how that happend. Then after driving it for about 20 minutes the coolant light came on. I have yet to check to see if theres any in there but will do that tomorrow. I'm still waiting for the parts to finish fixing the other problems which I believe would be the release bearing because it makes a jingling noise when the peddles not engaged but when in gear it stops and the rear main seal leak as well. Other than that really pleased with the performance, I think its a keeper.
