Who out there has one, or two of those fold-up gazebo shelters to put up at our corral? We should also address tables and chairs, coolers,etc. Who is bringing water,sodas,beers? Would something like pulled pork sandwiches be of interest? It's time to think logistics. G

I'd currently estimate that we should have over 30 Sharks at Daytona and many more shark owners of course. Some will have two 928s there, some due to logistics or sharks in repair, will be 928-less. Keep in mind, the actual Rennsport event begins Friday morning. They are only selling tickets for Fri-Sunday. Although there will be activity at the the track on Thurs., it is closed to the publc unless you have specific reason to convince them to let you in, ie: PCA volunteer with specific duties that day; car in one of the displays; racing a car that weekend; or perhaps even if Mr. Appunn can convince them with his "928 Hospitality" support vehicles duties! 
I know we're getting into town Thurs. afternoon as is George A's caravan. There will be others there that afternoon too. Bring a good comfortable pair of walking shoes cause you will make many treks around the facility each day checking out all the cars, displays & events going on I promise!

I get goosebumps just remembering how awesome it was in '04 & in anticipation of this coming weekend. As Hurley Haywood says at the end of the video clip, I cannot imagine how they will make it even better this time, .... but somehow I know that they will!
In 2004 I did not see even ONE 928 at Rennsport II; not in any displays, not racing, not even in the parking lots! This year we expect to have over 30 928s there & our own Sharks at Daytona gathering in conjunction at the event!! We'll be the only Porsche model specific group with a function coinciding with Rennsport! We plan to ensure that we get lots of attention for the 928 at this world wide Porsche event!

Are there any suggestions for any sort of meeting place in the evening for Thursday arrivals?
As we are all dispersed, I am picturing sitting alone in my hotel room twiddling my paws (err thumbs).

We'll be leaving Atlanta around noon on Thursday so we should be there around 7:00 Thursday night. I'll be driving the GT and Gina's driving the S4 so we'll have one in the historic display and one in the 928 corral. We're doing our part to represent. It would be great to have a place to meet Thursday night if we can't get in the track.
