Hang loose for a day. Give Michelle a call Thursday and let her know what you need. I spoke with her a couple times today and she's more than helpful and sensitive to the group's needs. Hats off to Mark and the 928 Int'l staff for this effort!

All in all a great deal...and you can get it done at Shartoberfest...I had mine done two years ago...turned out to be a great tech session. It's really nice to look out a nice new crack free windshield ..and mines still crack free

later,

Damm! How am I going to get a windshield onto the plane??

I also need a windshield for the GT , so maybe we can arrange a combined shipment to the East Coast of Pilkington glass?

You guys who want local delivery in other places -- CALL MICHELLE! She's lining up Pilkington stock from around the country. She may be able to arrange local delivery or pick-up if there happens to be one close to you already. Get on her wish-list list and maybe you'll get lucky. At the rate that people are showing interest, there may be a slight shortage of this glass for a bit following Sharktoberfest.

Join the PNW caravan down and join us! It's always a great event, made more so by all the folks who drop in from the outer limits.

Just talked to Michelle. She says there are 50 Pilkington windshields in the US right now, with no guarantees on any more being made. She's trying to round up 25 for this effort. I'm #10 on the list, and will probably have it installed before SF07 since I'm local. That way the people driving in from a distance get first dibs at having it done at the show. My windshield has no cracks at all but is heavily sandblasted, driving into the sunset is dangerous. She laughed and said that no one she's talked to has any cracks, just pitting. Gotta love soft German glass.....

Oh, believe me, I would love to, but no time with the family activities. I barely have time to stop by the 7-11 for cigarettes and beer (no milk though), much less have time to drink it and yell at the kids "Hey you! Put down that stupid book and get your old man another beer!"

928 events are sadly not making it on the family calendar too much (although I may be able to attend a local P-car event Sat night sponsored by one of the local high end dealers around here. There is usually a bit of a 928 gate crashing going on, and I'm hoping to be part of that).

Ed, rent the kids out for the weekend and bring your wife. Or fly them down and let them do the tourist stuff. Disneyland and Knotts Berry farm are very close by. From the sound of it, you need a vacation!

Pilkington is a grand old business based in England with a long history of glass making they produce about 20 % of all the replacement glass for Europe and the US ... now fully owned since 2006 by NSG (Nippon Sheet Glass) who happens to also own automotive glass factories in.......drum roll......... CHINA .
