I finally broke down and sent my LH off to Louie Ott to have the guts swapped out for new JDS ones.

The refurbished LH arrived yesterday and I popped her in.. Car now starts up, smooooooth idle. Let her warm up and the idle just stayed smoooooth.

Quick spin around the block and once again the car feels good and powerful.

Many many thanks to Louie Ott and John Speake!!

Unfortunately, a "minor" fault mode is usually a sign of impending total LH failure.

Other issues/signs can be O2 loop not working, idle switch not recognised, WOT switch noit recognised, Idle stabilisier loop not working.

It has been know for a faulty LH to "think" the WOT switch is activated, even at idle...... this gives a puzzling over -rich problem...... and so on...
