Default Chip installation instructions

I have a buddy with a 88 S4 that needs some instructions on how to install his new chips. Are there any websites that show this in a step by step manner for him? I did not find anything in the searches. He bought some generics off eBay and no instructions were included.

Thanks

This manual is for the sharkTuner, but shows how to open the cases and which chip needs to be swapped out. Note the orientation of the chip & don't forget to disconnect the battery.

Also also: Make sure that you MARK the old chips with the module (EZK or LH) that they came out of. If there isn't a prominent mark on tthe old chip showing orientation (pin 1), make such a mark BEFORE you remove them. If for some reason you decide later to put the old ones back in (maybe to pass smog...) the marks will remind you where and which way they were installed.

GROUND YOURSELF before you touch the puter box or the chips.

Be careful handling the LH ECU as you pry the old chip out and replace the new chip. The are extremely easy to damage, ask me how I know. The tile the electronics are are placed on are fragile as hell. Replacement LH ECU from JDS Porsche: $495, so handle it carefully. I think the EZK ECU is a little more robust, but be careful there too.

Not disconnecting the battery will fry the EC's when you unplug them, so make sure you disconnect it.
