What is the lift of the 16v engine's cam?
Thanks, I'vee been looking at this aspect of the engines, and so far am dismayed that my car has the shortest duration, and the least overlap. Hum...
Thanks.

The low overlap is great for my car....I can't afford reversion under high exhaust manifold pressures.
Not sure on the lift...it is not huge, I know that.

Check the webcams site. I think they have some stock config info.

Several years ago I replaced the stock cam in my 78 928 with an 83 euro S cam. I believe stock it had 10 mm lift. The intake lobe centerline is retarded about 10 - 12 deg. This late intake valve opening is why the low end torque is weak. I believe it had NO overlap. The lobe centerlines were a very wide 120 deg., if my memory is correct. The S cam had 11 mm lift and a little more duration. I made an offset key and advanced the cams and picked up a lot of low end torque. I would guess that advancing the cams on the turbo car would help low end torque, and reduce turbo lab.
