Anyone selling their wheels?
Looking for some wheels for the S4.
If you are changing yours, getting new ones, whatever the case may be, let me know what you have.
Prefer powder coated, but silver is fine, I can have the coating done locally.
Looking for something plugNplay, no modifications, no fender rolling etc...
You guys know better than me as to what fits.
Let me know what you have for sale.
The only wheels listed on Tire Rack that fit are BBS LM and similar, and the Moda which is ok, but not my first choice.
Thanks guys,
Chris

Lots of Porsche wheels will physically fit the S4 (all same PCD, adequate caliper clearance, fender clearance, etc).
But if you want it to handle properly, then you may decide you need to pay particular attention to the front offsets. Most 'later' 928s have 65mmET (89 GT 60mm ET, but different steering geometry to compensate too). Many aftermarket front wheels are in the 55-57mm ET range. That may induce 'tramlining' - also dependant on tyres, influenced by curved radius (better) v square radius (not better).
I'd be inclined to steer (pun intended) well away from 55-57mm ET front wheels.
I know many will vigorously disagree (if I knew how to make that little icon of a yellow head ducking behind a pile of bricks then I would).

I've got a set of Porsche Dyno wheels. Option wheel for the Boxster.
7 and 8.5 widths in 17" size.
Will need 4mm front spacer to clear S4 front caliper.
I had them on my 88 with 1" rear spacer to fill out the rear wheel well.
They're hiding on the East Coast (Connecticut) right now.

Some surface paint imperfection. A few curb scrapes.
$500. No tires. Wheels only.
It this was Ebay, then I'll have to add that they're "Extra Rare."

I keep catch myself looking at these....
but they are 19", the ad says it fits on the 928 (all years)
Any rolling needed?
Is 19" too big for this car?

I have a set of ROH wheels ZS's I think. 17*7.5 and 17*9.5 that can be bought. They were on the car for 2 years and are in excellent shape. I had 235/45 on the front and 275/40 on the rear, with no fitment issues. Your car may vary though. You can see them on page 16 of the coolest wheels thread.

Chris--
If you like to do more spirited driving in the twisties, make sure you get somthing wider on the front. Sterling's 17x9's would be a good start. There are 997 takeoffs sometimes in 18" that will do the trick nicely too. They have the correct offsets for the fronts. For sure, you ned to be aware that tire selection in 16" sizes is more limited as time goes on. I'm way spoiled with the Mich PS-2's, but 17" is the smallest rims they build for.
Have you spoken to Eli about your quest? He knows folks who are changing wheels on a regular basis, and may be able to hook you up with something coming off.

I have a full set of 17" one piece Sport Classsic with virtually new Bridgestones. They're listed in the classified section with details. I originally asked $1500 but I'll let them go for $1000.
