Default Mystery Lower Control Arm Part Number

I recently bought a used front lower control arm from DC automotive for my 89s4 and on arrival is does not have the right part number. But its not that simple, I can't find the part number that is on it in any of my references, including PET and its not listed on either 928 Specialists or any of the other vendors that support a part number search.

According to PET etc, the number should be:
928.341.017.04

the number on the arm looks like:
928.341.413.06

the "06" is a little indistinct but its either that or "05" and the arm looks like the right part as far as I can tell.

Before I go back to DC, any ideas on this?

Parts have very rarely actual part numbers in them unless its sticker. Could number be 928.341.413.0R? If yes, its casting number which are not listed in PET. As its possible to make multible parts from single raw casting actual part numbers are not put in them.

Easiest way to identify late arm is that it has Porsche text cast on flat surface. WSM also shows how to measure certain distance to tell two types appart.

thanks for your help with this, here is a pic of the number and what looks like a casting date. I am leaning towards concluding this is an early arm rather than the s4 one. Do you agree?

Looks like it since date code says May 1981.

The 06 casting number is the early part... it will not work for your car.

So the -04 number means it's the same part as on as the 86.5's thru 88 my?
As long as it is a post VIN 92 GS861000 number?
Curious
From what I see in the book the 78 thru 86 (pre- VIN 92 GS861000) are the same.
