Will do. It did this a while back and then was fine. It is just bin the last couple days that it has started doing this consistantly enough that it worries me. Can these cars go 2k without issues?

Can any car go 2k without issues? I just ignore the crap that falls off of my cars. If there aren't any lights on, there must not be a problem!

I sprayed lots and it didn't try and stall at all. Does that mean anything? I will spray it again tomorrow and see if it helped.

Ok i seem to have a similar problem as the thread starter perrys4 so i got adviced in another post to try this.
Just to be sure. I spray the WD40 into the hose when the car is cold. Is it supposed to be running when i spray?
And i spray into the #12 hose, from the opening on top of the #12 number, not the one at the right of it?
How long do I spray? 1 sec? 5 sec? 30 sec??
Much appreciated if someone can clarify this for me (and maybe others not sure they got it right)

Too much care and feeding makes them spoiled and they adjust to it. STOP fretting so much when your shark acts out, as it only encourages negative behaviour. If it insists on staying in the garage, then leave it alone and turn the lights out. Insist that your companionship be a reward for time on the road. Its all about relationships....they're just like women...you know, all that stuff.

#12 is a "Y", toward the firewall, one hose goes into the brake master, the other goes under the intake directly to the ISV. Disconnect that hose --Spray with the car running as you want it to be sucked into the ISV, sits in the center of the valley. I'd guess 10 sec would saturate the mechanism, then shut car off. IF it works, you have some assurance the valve is at fault; it is reported that this may have to repeated every couple months. But knowing it is the valve is some solace when doing the PIA removal of intake, etc.

Thanks a lot SteveG! Appreciate it. I will do this as soon as the car cools down.
I have now learned that if i start the engine cold,
1) the idle is high(up to 1800 actually). while driving
2) while driving, the engine makes a "blump" and stalling about 1/3 second before it sets off every time i put the gas to the floor quickly.
3) while driving, it does not cut the gas(checking the fuel usage on the computer) when i release the pedal whatever rpm i have.
Funny thing is, the idle stays this way when the engine gets warm, BUT, if I then do a run out 2nd and 3rd gear, right after that everything gets right. No "blumps", idle ca 700, and normal fuel usage.
This sounds to me like something gets stuck and needs a real kick in the *** to release. Maybe the ISV? But would that make the little "blump" delay, and really high fuel consume?
Edit: BTW, have checked that the gas wires and the linkage goes whole way back to initial position, that seems to be ok.

Try and put a vacuum meeter on one of the vacuum lines to the fueldampers and see what value you get.
Also check your vacuum at the four way split near the brake boster and see if the black line running into the firewall woll hold vacuum or not.
It is very common with leaking vacuum actuators in the climat control.

I just did the WD-40 spray and do not think it solved the problem. i will let it soak and try again in the morning and hope for the best.
2 questions:
1. I read somewhere that there are 3 relays that can cause the same symptoms. Which relays are they?
2. Does it need to be WD-40 or will silicon spray also work. I did the WD-40 but just curious.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Rennlist!
There's a heap of different possible causes of surging idle. Best to start a new thread about your problem, with more info on your car like which model year (and thus which fuel injection it has).

You might want to print that chart out if yours is not present under the CE cover. Somebody sells a laminated one.
