The math dudes. It's the math. These kids don't even understand that they could have almost anything for 7-10K. All they know is what they see around them. Hondas, Mitsus, Acuras etc. these cars ae exact mirrors of their owners, just like ours are of us. They're 19. We're looking at 40.

If you told them that you paid 10K for that 87 S4, and that it had 315 hp and over 300 t. lb. of torque, they wouldn't believe or understand you. They just haven't learnsed to understand what's important yet. All they know is what they learn from eachother. - Ruf

I got a nice counter slogan.

Identify, Draw, Aim, Shoot.

I really dont mind the cars, after all its not the kids fault we all bought all the POS Chevy Novas and Dodge Chargers. BUT, I've had about all i can stand of the thumpa thumpa bass from every M&M lookalike honda civic drivin gansta wannabe cranking the bass so loud that it shakes the foundation of my house 1/2 mile before they even get to it. It just absolutly brings out the worst in me. Almost as much as left lane squatters!!

What ever happened to manners & civility?

Re: Car Steros

I would rather have them cranking it on the street, than next door.

They are near you for a moment or two, then you both drive off.

I'm sure some people think a RMB is intrusive to their peace and quiet...

Manners & civility disapered with the same generation that figured out how to put a glass pack in backwards, heat it up, and blow it out. That wasn't the ricer's generation!

I'm guessing the car stereo can't be any louder when I stop on my gas peddle, and get her up to a mear 5,500 rpm, aiming for 6,000. With no cat, and a werid shoebox muffler, it gets awful loud! You can hear my car comeing 2 miles away...

Sat in my 91 GT for the first time and turned on the sound system. THUMPA THUMPA THUMPA <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />
PO had installed a Bazooka subwoofer. <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" />
I come from the Stereo Generation when we were all seeking FIDELITY. That's 20Hz to 20KHz FLAT to those of you NOT of a certain age.
Took me about a nanosecond to remove it!

Their bad influence is rubbing off on the more sophisticated crowd of Porsche owners. Don't believe me? Take a look at this thread:

As usual, I have started another loooooong topic. My work here is done, but I may monitor for enjoyment purposes.

Now, I am off to install that $4,000 chromed, stainless steel muffler which adds at least 50 HP!

ErnestSw, yeah, some of us actually know how to use an equalizer... When it comes to music and cars, I just shut the stereo off most of the time.

That 8-part percussion section up front is just fine.- Ruf

John.
what kind of muffler are you using? Is it the Folger's dark or the Maxwellhouse? The word on the street is that the Folger's works best.
We need to get Devek involved here!!
Ruf,
I agree. The RMB makes beautiful music.

Because you don't have to take out a second mortgage to modify a japanesse car unlike the 928 or 911. American cars I don't know. Other than the classics many American cars are not that appealing.

I put a bazooka tube in the back of mine. Best 100 bucks ive spent for sound in my car. These cars are pretty flat sounding otherwise..IMHO. With the remote bass **** you can fine tune each disc to sound very nice. Its not all "THUMPA THUMPA" My favorite to listen to is "YES-90125, Owner of a Lonely heart"
