Dark tail lights - how??

You have to make sure you get VERY bright LEDs to put into the lights if you will be smoking them, since, as Malibu suggested, people can't see the incandescent bulbs through the misty color.

I have been toying with the idea of buying (2) used sets of tail lens for my 81' and using a dremel to remove the amber from one set and the red from the other. Cut a template to get it as close as possible and fit the red into the amber spot with a little epoxy. The cuts would have to be exact or it would look like Sh*%! I would def. keep the originals just in case It doesn't come out as planned

There is also this perforated film, that you see on some buses and taxicabs, that can cover glass, but you can still see through, and light passes through...



If you get some of this, in black, it would work...

I just ordered it in black. One sheet has enough to do four of the 82 taillights, in case I mess up - likely.

I'll post finished images when I get it installed.
