Default Another cool 928 youtube video 928 GTS truck from DW

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YClqEQftcdY
Deutsche Welle channel Auto Motor und Sport TV clip of six wheel 928 GTS pickup

I searched and it didn't look like anyone has posted this yet, and it only has 63 views so it must be new. This is an exerpt from a video magazine of some kind that aired on DW. Enjoy...

Here it is directly...

I had seen this before; pretty interesting challenge for the German TÜV. I'm glad Porsche intervened and helped him get the car registered!

Nicely done Nicole, I didn’t even think to link it like that. Thanks! I agree, that is outstanding that Porsche helped him out with the TÜV.

He may be the builder but OF COURSE it can carry a case of beer. Just make it six cases so they don't slide around!

What - the car or that he has to load six six packs at once?

Well, six=packs are not popular in Germany anyway. You get beer in bottles, 12 or 20 of which come in a plastic crate. You return crate and bottles after you enjoyed the beer...

Oh yeah, I know about those crates --lived in Germany for 3 years. I just think this is a ridiculous waste of money --plenty of better things to do with it, like buy beer.

I think he did the conversion himself, so it was more a labor of love than throwing money around. He already had all kinds of exotic cars, and wanted something unique. Well, so he went and made it. And I personally think it's much nicer than the Danish conversions we've seen...

Oh, BTW, that yellow 6-wheeler that went from Las Vegas to Germany - it's so poorly built that the new owner doesn't even try to get it registered in Germany. He told me there is no way they would let it on public roads.

He also has the 928 body on the truck chassis - same thing. Not possible to register in Germany.

"you can see soemthing was accomplished" to each his own.. but he sure did accomplish screwing up a GTS. I guess I could sit well with it if he also had another 928... and he picked the 928 to do the mod because he loves the car. Other than that he is just a whack job with too much time and money... You know like Mike Jackson.... except he did it to his face.. same result either way
