Does anyone know what the spark plug gap is suppose to be on an US 83 928s?
I'm away from my service manual right now, and it just occurred to me that if I'm having ignition problem, check the plug gap, and head for fouling.
I'm going to run down to the parts store, buy a gauge, and try to check the spark plug gap. I don't expect it to be off, but I've never pulled the plugs since I purchased the car. To be honest, I don't even know what type of plug is currently in the car. Opps...

Well, in that case, you got a suggestion as to the type? I'm guessing Botch is the brand, but what type exactly? I could try to replace witht he one's I've got right now, but what if a PO put in the wrong type...
As far as I can tell, the owner's mannual is silent on the issue.
As I said I'm away from my service mannual. (It's at school in the dorm, and I'm at my parants house.) So I can't look in there for help.
Also, on the new plugs, just for my information, would you have a clue what the gap is suppost to be?
Thanks.

I have Bosch Platinum 4's, spendy. Any plug will do for now, if all you are trying to do is eliminate part of the ignition system as your trouble spot. No point buying exspensive plugs if they will only be fouled by a bad wire, cap, rotor or coil.

Pitman, please tell me that you don't mean the owner's manual when you say "the book"
I went though it twice looking for spark plug information, and didn't find any. If it was in there, I'll feel really stupid.
