Have you made any single change in intake or exhaust? Undo it.

Lets hope its the injector, but in the event it isn't, any chance it could be the clutch not holding together?

That's a very good idea. My temp gun used to be so important for troubleshooting and tuning I would carry it in my car and be ready to hop out and point it at each header port. Now that I have a 928 it's a bit tight to get it near the exhaust.
Doesn't Louie Ott have EGT sensors for each cylinder? That could be very handy

I haven't read all the replies but figure it was a worth to guess that MAYBE the shop left one of their rags in the intake and it got sucked into one or two of the runners?

I figured it was fuel related - didn't think about the injector harness, though.

I think Greg numbers the rags as they go in, counts them as they come out. Great engine builders do this kind of thing when they aren't brain surg'ing.

Good news about the find in the wiring. Sounds like you found it.

Im still chasing the 20-25hp I am down. i have a feeling its in the strap down. (new guy at the dyno really cranked the car down in the rear, i mean REALLY cranked it down) if you remember it, crank down the rear straps on the last run to see if you loose anything. I have a feeling thats what happened to mine
