Well, the owner could well be concerned about theft. The grating is to prevent that.

And add downforce and a venturi effect at the back to propel the car forward.

If you want to see some really trashed sHARKs ...
spend about 6 months flying around the country looking at those : "Mint condition, garage kept, professionally maintained, like new, all original, sparkling finish, can't bear to part with beauty's" that are for sale out there.
Words that come to mind :
Dispair, forlorn, disgust, loathing, shame, rage, and ... finish it off!

anyone ever seen the movie "batchelor party" with tom hanks, from the 80's. well, you remember the 911 targa that got jacked, taken for a quick "pimp repaint" with flames etc..well thats what that remind me of..

or if any of you have seen monster garage on discovery channel, jesse james (custom choper builder), has the crew change a 944 into a gulf range picker... flame job on that one too.

for the love of god, why would anyone do this?
