Thanks, I clearly see the high side, but can't see low side anywhere. Is it accesible without removing rad hose?

I speak only from S4 experience, but the low side fitting IS accessible under the rad hose- It helps to loosen the top bumpers that hold the radiator in place so you can tilt the radiator forward a bit. I needed to do this to get my giant hands in there to screw on the hose. Do yourself a favor and wait until the car is cold, or get one of those insulated Mechanix gloves or something so you don't cook your wrist on the radiator hose.

Let me warn you on the high side if you have the old R-12 schrader valve and use an R-134 adapter make sure you get the correct one. The standard ones are too short and once connection the gauges it will push the valve too far in and **** it and your gas will blow out big time. You can hit it with a small pick to reset it but the gas will be blowing on you and frezzzzing your hand . Look for a blue cap on the low side you can reach it with out removing anything mine is an 86 !!

My buddy reported to me he saw an r12 conversion kit to 134a at walmart the other day..... was priced at $34....... how the hell can they do that?
I had him pick me up a complete 134a recharge "kit", it was $20 and came with a guage, good instructions and 20 ounces of coolant, sealant, lubricant. My '99 tahoe's ac was dead...... no pressure signal, the compressor would not cycle.
Works like a champ now......... cheapest, un-complicated repair on a system I know NOTHING about, that I have ever experienced.
Now I have to look into that conversion "Kit" they sell.......... hasta be better than dealing with the R12 certification........ Though I have read the manual ROG sent me.
