WTB: LH 2./2/3/4/5/ Brain, 85-86 Euro or 85-86.5 US
I have an 84 Euro and would like to use the SharkTuner eventually.
I'm looking to buy a LH2.2 brain, p/n 928 618 123 02
Since, I'm already set up with a WBO2 sensor (it's not being used for fuel mapping), I'd be willing to look at an 85-86 US, p/n 928 618 123 03 and 04

You should be able to use a US /03 /04 or /05 with a Euro 85/86 ( /02) LH chip in it. Until you SharkTune the car. You would have to run without an O2 loop (unless your car has some Federalisation hardware/cats ?).
/02 boxes are available occasionally here, but I think you will find a US version at a lower price.
When you come to SharkTune, you would use a US 32v fuel map as a bsis for tuning.
Then you will have the option of enabling the narrow band O2 loop if you so require.

Thanks for the reply. My car has no cats or O2 loop hardware. Currently, I have a WBO2 and a PLX digital unit as a stand-alone. I was hoping to use the WBO2 with the US 03/04/05 LH. Does it require a narrow-band O2?
Okay, so how should I go about this.... Buy the US 03/04/05 LH brain, then buy a /02/ chip? Could I just buy the US LH and hold onto it 'til I SharkTune, then install it then?

The wideband should have a narrow band output?
If you use a 03-05, you can run a wire from the WB, and put a terminal in the (empty - #20) O2 sensor input on the ECU connector.

The PLX unit does have a narrow band output, if you require to use an O2 loop. Otherwise you can just leave the O2 sensor input of the US LH open circuit, and it will default to a mid range setting.
I can't find exactly the WBO2 law of the PLX. I think it is different to that of the TEchEdge.
But that is not a problem because the LH2.2 SharkTuner has a programmable WBO2 input to allow devices tlike the PLX to be used.
Either of the interim ideas you haver are OK. I can supply a /02 EPROM if you want one, for a US LH.

Yes, now I remember it has the narrow band output.
Do you see much benefit from setting it up with an O2 loop?
So If I found someone willing to sell an extra "dead" US LH2.3/4/5, then buy a new LH 2.2 eprom from you. What is your price? (You can PM with that if you chose)

Whether you go for O2 loop or not is your choice. Staying open loop means you have more freedom with how you set the A/F ratio across the range.
But there are some advantages with going closed loop - loop controlled idle and cruise A/F ratio of 14.7:1 which is fine for general use. Also, the loop should give more consistant A/F ratio if there are slight changes of engine parameters with time.
Price for a LH2.2 EPROM would be 45USD which includes postage.

It appears I can get an LH2.3 brain for $100, internal condition unknown. Is the Eprom the typical fail-point of these units?

You can give the 03 quickly in your car, my Euro has run with one before now as a test.AT least that will give you a clue as to whether it is OK or not.
The EZ-F upgrade will not include 84 Euro. That would be the subject of a completely new project - all the software is different. It takes many hours to disassemble the code, so it will only be done if there is sufficient call for it i.e. paying customers.
We have plenty of other ideas for SharkTuner developments which will take a priority...

Sorry Jim, I misread your question - my apologies.
I was referring to the 84 LH2.2 Euro LH ECU as being a seperate project.
