Very nice. Got a nice cheerful friendly look to the 928's face.

If you slot the headlight covers then it'll really be very Miura'ish.

Did you happen to weigh the assemblies for those track addicts to see how much weight is taken off the high up front tip of the car?

Looks great...just don't add white stripes to the car.

My thoughts exactly Dave. Nice variation on a theme with really cool, factory-looking result.

The complete popup system with Bosch 8" H4s, motor, bar, weighs more than 26lbs (12 kilos).

I figured he's shaved about 20lbs (9 kilos) off the nose.

porken, thanks for the inspiration! i blame seeing the pics you posted as my source material for this modification it is the motor that raises the headlight that weighs the most, loosing 10kg from the very front of the car is definitely worth it.

Hi Dr, do you have pics/details of this mod. If you are making/selling a kit, I am interested. If not I am having a bodyman do something similar.

I'm pretty sure Nick is not doing a kit as he sold the car, bought a boat, sailed the boat across the Atlantic, sold the boat, traveled about a bit, landed in New Zealand, bought another 928, and is there for the time being.

However, that said, if there are details on this mod, I would be interested in it, possibly.

This would seem to fall into the capacity of Jerry Feather's blow-mold system wouldn''t it? If not, maybe a scan of the individual fender/lamp recesses could be done and then a prototype made with one of the new-fangled solid printers. I personally think its a very cool look and could be interested in them too.

If you do something modular I'd like to see if more could be made. Porken has a good amount of info about what lights work.

Nice work all around. Did you try it with the surrounds and hood vents body color? Might look even better then. Nice looking Porsche.

Makes me think if the 928 was still in production, would Porsche have done some variation of this idea. If campaigned, they definitely would have.

It would simplify and save a lot of weight for sure.
