Kelley's A/C hadn't worked in two years and I didn't want to keep pumping freon into a system that I knew was leaking badly. (Manifold showed zero pressure!) Black leather seats are just no fun on hot and humid days so she wasn't driving her car much. Earlier this summer I tackled the upgrade. It took me a good 8 hours to find and replace all the o-rings. The rear air expansion valve was the only one corroded, but I replaced both valves. The aftermarket receiver just needed shimming to fit the bracket. Getting the compressor back in was a pain, but nothing compared to what you have done already on your car. Luckily, I got everything to seat right the first time but there were a few spots where it was hard to be sure no matter how meticulous I was (like in the cowling area going to the front evaporator.) I'm glad I did it...she is driving the car a lot more than she did last summer.
Give our regards to everyone in Hell...we are back east for a wedding on Saturday.
