I wish my 928s got this kind of mileage:

Enough cant be said about this High Performance car. This car was the Porsche of the 80's featured in Hollywood blockbuster Movies such as, Risky Business and Scarface
" Porsche-there is no substitute" as famously coined by Tom Cruise and "$52,000 fully equipped," by Tony Montana's Porsche salesman. Now about the car. This Porsche features an all aluminum 32 valve/quad cam V8 engine that produces 300 HP. The car is a blend of High Performance and blended with luxorious comfort. The original flagship of marque. Porsche statistics place the 0-62 MPH mark at just over 6 seconds, at 60 miles per hour it is probably under 6 and in the 5's. The car gets 32.5 miles per galln at 56 mph and 27.7 miles per gallon at 75mph, quite impressive for so much Horse Power.

i always get near 22mph while driving to the race track. And this includes 60-100mph runs, and being fully loaded with gear. (and traveling anywhere between 70 and 90mph the entire way)
I probably will never have the patience to drive to the track at 65mph and not floor it along the way.
I bet 25mpg might be possible. 30+ is kind of unlikely!![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

My car's PO told me he averaged 22 mpg on an all-highway trip from NYC to Harrisburg, PA, but I don't know what speed he was driving. I have only calculated one tank's mileage of mixed-roads driving with lots of unnecessarily strong (but oh-so-satisfying!) acceleration runs and got 17 mpg.
If I got 22 mpg at a cruise-controlled 70 mph on the highway, I'd be perfectly happy. I don't think any of us have the rein-control to roll long-distance at a steady 56 mph (that's the most fuel-efficient speed for most vehicles, btw). My daily driver (the Isuzu) fares much worse that the 928GT at the pumps.

There are other errors in his ad, like 300 HP. IIRC other than the mileage, not signif, but makes one wonder. Sounds like the seller is trying to pitch mpg in the age of high gas and might say anything to sell it. OTOH, would someone buy a shark, expecting 30 mpg, and get pissed when he got only 21?
