Default Need 928 mechanic in Miami, FL

Received an email from a 928 owner in Miami that is driving his '85 back home to AZ. He was turned away from the local P-car dealership and wants to make sure his car is in tip-top shape for the ride home.

Any suggestions?

Feel free to email me directly:

atb928@comcast.net

Thanks.

I imagine anyone between Miami and Tallahassee would be able to help if it is just checking and prepping for a cross country run.

Hey Charley,

While I'd agree with you, I think this person really wants to take it to a full time shop.

I'm sure your right, I just had a vision of him sitting in Miami waiting for some help from a lister while someone 50 miles down the road ignores the plea because he doesn't happen to know of a shop in Miami. It doesn't sound like he has a specific problem at the moment so if he can get to a good shop in the first day or so it might all work out. Just trying to open up the possibilities. I see alot of posters from Florida on here but not many from the Miami area.

may I make a suggestion many do not think of but i learned the hard way.... Have the car aligned before that long drive, specially if it has "new tires" Why do you think it has "new tires" ? I had my car driven back from CA with a bad alignment and the front tires were bald when it got here. The car can not be lifted to be put on the alignment rack. He will need to find a shop that has a rack that will not stretch the suspention before alignment.
