This is not purple - it is amethyst - a beautiful, deep and dark burgundy. Calling it purple is quite a stretch. It was a factory color from 91 onwards. (They also offered violet blue metallic, a lavender color, from 91 on.)

The interior of this one is strange - magenta upper and black carpet and seats with magenta piping, and speaker grills painted to match. The magenta pieces look very "pink" under the flash, but are not like this in real life -- they look more like a cool burgundy.

Note the GTS mirror upgrades

Speaker seems aftermarket part.

Amethyst is quite common in ROW models. Much more common than one would think but obviously not as common as black, silver, white etc. Seems to be also ladies favorite.

Now now Nicole. Men only see six colors = primary and secondary + black and white.
So we must slot any color we see into one of these choices, we are not capable of comprehending anything else.

That being said, that interior is definitely on the pink side

I looked at '91 GT in Amethyst for sale in Denmark (the only GT for sale here) before turning to Germany. Liked the exterior color, but couldn't live with the interior.

Check out pics below

All doesn't add up in it. It has non airbag dash which indicates its early '91 MY or older and it also has GTS rearend with older style rear bumber. It could be possible GTS rear was option in last '91 made but this would have to be verified from option codes. However no one has come up with such code yet. Maybe rear has seen Nurburgring little too closely.

LOL, quite possible
Car was modified with GTS rear sides. While I love the potent looking GTS bulges, I didn't like the rust behind and around the fuel flap. Maybe a result of the necessary welding etc. done to change the rear sides ?

Also strongly suspect that cars in original form will hold their value best - a hybrid like the one above may only appeal to some.

Erling

On Erling's pix, the 930 steering wheel has "Porsche" embossed on the rim; do all of them have that? I've not noticed before.

My guess that's a real one, not an aftermarket? It also looks to have a horn icon at the bottom of the pad, and the crest is inlaid.

The steering wheel is supposedly a genuine Porsche item, with a price around $1000. Fattest, meatiest and by far the best steering wheel I've ever had my hands on...
