He says it has a 5-speed Auto, a 3.5L V8...and those wheels are kind of garish to me. The paint is nice, but tone down the chrome.

T'wasn't nothing alleged about it. Much of the drive was AT triple digits. We had great fun DRIVING, but we LOOKED GREAT as well. No fun getting the adrenaline up if you don't look good doing it.

Another honest used car dealer that doesn't embellish: "the interior is in fair to average condition".

There was one on eBay a week or so back with an engine fire and melted front fender. I do not think is sold and the staring bid was under $500. Unfortunately it was very rough, on the East Coast and an automatic.

I think there were three others on eBay at the same time in various states of deterioration - about the same time. I check each for the correct serial number range. The best was a five speed in nice shape. This one is not bad. It will need everything, but you could sell the wheels to cover the restoration costs.

I disagree with Jim. At some point there will be a very high premium paid for the special edition.

I do have one question no one has answered. Did Porsche sell any of these in Europe or were they all made for the US market? An 82S Euro five speed would not be a bad car to have if they made any.

Dan the Pod Guy.

Dan,
AFAIK they only made the Weissach for the US market - but who knows as Porsche would do anything you wanted for the right $. The Jubilee was only made for the ROW but I have one in my garage in Dallas, TX. 8>)
I try and follow Weissach info when I can. I follow all eBay ads and did not see the Weissachs you mention. Do you by chance have the links as I would like to add them to the list of known examples I keep?
Roger
