Differential contr off warning
Recently after a hard drive with some kick downs the shark gave me the Differential contr. Off warning.
This was just once and did not repeat. The shark is a GTS from 92 with 95km and I dont know if the PSD circuit have ever been flushed.
Today I went through several threads about this issue and found some references but I can not find them.
Where are the “flush the PSD unit following the Louis & John directions”.
Any idea off what could cause this warning?
Thank you all

Louis and John directions are at Owners club website:

Low fluid level possibly or some intermittent wiring issue perhaps. Start with fluid change first and see if it comes back or not.

Miguel, do you get a ABS fault warning before the differential control off warning? The PSD uses the ABS sensors at the wheels for the speed reference and any ABS fault will turn off your PSD and give you the Differential control off warning. The first thing I would check is the fuse for the ABS. Replace it even if it looks OK.

Thank you for your fast replies.
The ABS seems to be OK. But I will check the fuse.
I wrote to Theo Jenniskens (He developed a diagnostic tool for the 928) and his best guess is that the fluid must be changed. I will do that as soon as possible following the Louis & John directions. (thanks once again Erkka). Also I will buy this diagnostic tool that may help on the process.
