Luan:

Take a breath sometimes when you write. Then put a space, or a line break in before you continue. It'll be easier for Shark Attack and others to read your post then...

I'm really sorry to hear about your continued troubles with the S4. I believe the vacuum line you are refering to might be the one for the transmission.Do you have hard, jerky shifts right now?

There should be a4-way vacuum connector underneath the air intake. That's where that transmission vacuum line connects.

Under no circumstances pull on that line!!! I've been told you cannot reconnect it without removing the torque tube - you'd have to figure out a way to fiddle a whole new line through to the transmission.

Or is that line inside, in the center console? If so, what color does it have?

Take Nicole's advice and BREATHE!

Inhale.... exhale....

Now, do you feel any better? I hope so.

Are you sure the driver hatch switch is dead? If you take the cover off and pull the leads to the switch, you should be able to touch them together and activate the motor. If not, then you have another issue.

Used parts can be found from various listers on this forum as well as Roger (ROG100) and 928 International.

Good luck and remember to breathe!

Hey Luan

Your post title does not exactly identify your technical requests, and the run on paragraph will kill readers in seconds.

And, your welcome.

Just so you folks know, English is a second language for Luan, so you might want to cut him a wee bit of slack.

I will say that his grammar and punctuation is better than some I've seen who claim English as their only language...

So, who can help him out with parts?

Default DITTO ON THE BIRTHDAY FROM . . .

Hey Luan,

Today is my BD as well... I went from two cars to zero in 24 hours.

Dropped RSKY BIZ off for her 21 yr old physical ($$$). . . then got a flat in my fave Ford Explorer ($$$), while replacing my Nikon D-80 I 'lost' last week ($$$$). The lug wrench wouldn't fit the opening for the knuts... nor would AAA's... got to ride in a tow truck...then a 'soccer van' ride home from the dealer following a visit with my 'bestest', reliable Ford guy, Dave.

Had my friendly Geek over for 'servicing' ($$$)...broken LED on laptop and a PC *near death (*fee-free from myspace). At least he was able to tell me about his dealings with the Jag dealer I was supposed to visit for PerryS4 today... (sorry, Ron, but I got a bit of scoop for ya, anyway I could)...

Then there's the DDS appointment I nearly hitched a ride to... only to have them tell me I couldn't get my teeth cleaned today, after all - (the reason I busted my butt getting there)...BUT they did suggest I get a 'crown' for a tooth I wasn't complaining of today...and the cost for that ($$$$).

Oh, there's more...however, returning to the 928 parts needed thread -- for those of you @ SITM...that 'whirring' sound from RSKY BIZ is her alternator ($$$), not her power steering. . .Sooo, I'm another birthday 'moon child' in the hunt for 928 parts (oh, there's more!)...AND the night is still young!

Luan... I propose we pause...check for our pulses...if found, count our blessings that we still have one, give thanks to those who gave us one (wherever they may be ), then, as JB says, breate in, breathe out, move on. . .

Memories come in many forms. . . Here's to 'memorable birthdays, Luan!'

...and many more healthy ones on the horizon!

Default Birthday from Hell

Hello Nicole and thanks for that ranting and running on sentences. But as we say i do drive 90 miles per hour on the street as well on the writing here.I believed the hard vacumm line to the trans is disconnected and the shifting is harsh.Anyone on the forum here reconnected somehowand show me what could be done to it ?Also i am looking for that combo switches used for 1990 any lead from members would be great. Thanks everyone.

Hi Luan:

I was just trying to tell you that going 90mph is not always the ideal speed.

Sure, it's OK on the freeway, no big deal. But in other situations it might be way too fast. Because if you go above the limit, you may get pulled over and have to listen to a sermon about speed - which takes a lot of extra time.

Sometimes it's better to slow down a bit and get to your destination quicker... not just on the road.
