They've discovered Rennlist. I recall seeing a good variety of complaints about them, but here's one on the 993 page:

One of their followup posts had a link to the BBB:
Complaint Record
The Bureau has received 36 complaints against this company during its three year reporting period. 9 complaints have been closed as resolved. 27 complaints have been closed as disputed.
In other words - STAY AWAY!

I hate to see a fellow Porsche owner get taken. What a bunch of BS. I've added my 0.02 cents.
Randy, couldn't help not too. <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />

I don't know anything about Scmitt, but I was impressed that he replied, and I thought he had a good point. The buyer wouldn't have had to consummate the deal had the red car not met his liking. Why shouldn't the dealer have the same right of refusal? The deposit was refunded. And, he had the opportunity to recover the inspection fee had he not blown a gasket. I wonder who the other customers witnessing this mess thought was out-of-bounds?

DG84S:
You're right that we don't know the specifics about the incident being discussed on the 993 board. I'm still curious about Schmitt's eBay ads and their bidding behavior. Their cars consistently have high numbers of bids at prices far in excess of other listed 928s, yet the same cars keep showing up in new Schmitt auctions.

Thinking they sometimes get caught in bidding up their own items? Would be interesting to research the winners of those repeated auctions and see if they all have something in common. (All the same person, all new accounts, etc.)
