Seeing three tips might give a wanna be racer some food for thought as he comes up from behind to pick a fight!

Well then, we should have a plethora of pipes, and perhaps no-one would mess with us. Say ... 35 pipes at the tail

Bugatti Atlantic (or is it Alantique?) had 8 tail pipe tips out the back....just imagine the sound.

That Bugatti is gorgeous!

Hmmmn... eight small pipes would fit in the cutout if they were stacked...

Sidebar: (Here) is a great piece on control of different types of noise.

Too funny, H...

Pretty cool idea -- definitely unique. Kinda fits with the "nothing is quite stock anymore" persona that you had going with the other car.

After running behind Jessa for a while at SITP, I came to appreciate how her car sounded with basically the same catback setup I have, but with a straight pipe instead of the rear muffler. I was thinking of doing the same, but instead of the dual tips, making a tip that would be a single large oval shaped to follow the cutout closely. Different strokes...

Dave, I thought that too for a while.
DR has that big oval pipe that fits the later cars...

My version of the big oval was what I like to call the stogie stub (before I swiched to the full Borla system)

"Then there was the big noise, and that pesky Civic that had been behind him in traffic was just GONE! Blown away! I was in total awe!"

--- notes from following Keith on a fun drive, 2004

One of five good reasons to have a decent exhaust.
