Thursday sounds good to me. All other spare time is going to be spent on helping Shawn part out the '81.

Ell:

I ran it yesterday with my tripod "mounted" on the passenger seat. The quality is okay. My real problem is trying to convert it to digital. My camera is analog and the whole coversion process seems to blow up my PC every time. Besides, the run wasn;t all that good. Too much trafic. You don't get a good sense of how fun it could be.

All:

This Thursday is fine for finalizing details on the picnic. I'll see you there. All other time is pretty much booked as my wife is flying every weekend. I guess I could come to a gathering on a weekend day, but I will have the kids and will be VERY Sharkless . See you Thursday! <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Weather's looking good for Milan tomorrow!

Andrew - if you're still planning a route, you've GOT to go through Hell!

That's pretty much what I had in mind. There will most likely be two courses (or one big one).

#1 From the park head east on Huron River Drive until you reach M14. There you can either turn around and come back or you can cross the river on M14 and take Barton Rd back (not sure how this get you back yet, so if anyone is in the know speak up). Total trip time 10 minutes - 30 minutes depends on speed and traffic. Fun factor - 6/10. Scenery factor - 8/10.

#2 From the park head west on Huron River Drive. Go north on Dexter-Pinckney then west on Patterson Lake. Stop in HELL, MI. Continue west then south toward Unadilla, MI (don't blink!). continue to N. Territorial and then back to Huron River Drive and back to the park. Total trip time - about an hour including 15min in Hell. Fun factor - 8/10. Scenery factor - 7/10. These roads are a bit bumpy, but there are a lot of S's and other fun turns.

If anyone else has any suggesstions, please let me know.

#1 Barton Dr is nice, but it's a private road and the locals frown on uninvited guests. Besides which the Maple Rd bridge is closed for reconstruction so you can't get back across the river there anyway. You could go north on Whitmore Lake Rd to N Territorial, then east to Pontiac Trail and back, or west on N Territorial to Mast Rd then south back to Huron River Dr.

#2 Another possibility would be to head west on N Territorial after Unadilla then wander through the Waterloo Recreation area, ending up back at N Territorial and picking up the rest of your route, making kind of a 'figure 8'.

I also have a couple route maps from PCA events if I can remember where I hid them.

Andrew:

Thanks for taking the time to look into the possible courses. I get enough time on bumpy roads already, so if we can keep that to a minimum, whichever way we go, I'd be thankful!

Bill- if you could locate those maps, that would be cool. I hadn't considered your figure 8 course (because I've never done it before!) so I'm open - no ego here.

Dave- "Bumpy" is a relative term. The roads are back roads so they aren't going to be interstate or highway smooth. Near Hell (actually, pretty much all of Patterson Lake Road) there seams to be quite a bit of hot-patch repair. That's why it's bumpy, but once you get to Unadilla it really is quite smooth and you can fly on some pretty fun turns and curves. It's somewhat "hilly" too. Certainly nothing like the BRP from descriptions.

Hey did you know our own beloved Stan the Man received the 36 over award winning ticket? I'm so proud of him I can hardly take it!

Are you guys meeting up anywhere for tonight? Give me a call on my cell if you are. 734-837-7908. See you tonight!

I am a new 928 owner (just bought my black 85' 5-sp 2 weeks ago). I am interested in joining in on this event. Is it open for anyone?

I am an Indy shark owner, i would love to attend. July is great. I am glad that our region is being active. As for food, i would prefer the hot dog/hamburger route.
Keep up the good work

The event is open to anyone with a 928...and I personally wouldn't mind other P-cars.

I might drive my oil cooler as well. If we have people that fly in I would hate to see a rental driving around with the sharks.

Is there, or will there be, another web site or something with all of the information? There are a few that I think might want to show up, but they aren't on this board.

Hey Dave...Did you receive my confirmation on attending "The Freshwater Frenzy" being held in your state. That is if I'm still invited, better check that first I guess. Me and my Mrs will be attending if the offer is still there. Going to need some directions and other info like lodging and such, your help will be much appreciated...tnx
Bill
