Gurgle gurgle...what does it mean?
Waiting at my favorite espresso drive through I noticed my temp needle was at the top white line. That never happens.
Got my coffee and started driving to my office, the temp went down to the first line.
When I pulled into the parking lot, I could hear gurgling under the hood.
Popped the hood, and I could see bubbles gurgling up in the fill tank, and could hear the same gurgling in the radiator hose going to the T-stat.
Somewhere in the back of my brain a "blown headgasket" warning went off, but I pulled the dipstick and the oil was clean.
Any ideas?

I'd bet the fans (or one of them is not working), as you have an airflow problem... temps decrease as speed/airflow increases. The gurgling is just overheated coolant.

She has gas.. fart fart....
I would think this means the coolant is bioling, thus meaning not under enough pressure. thus meaning leak or other. My 87 ford escort did this when the head cracked.... car still ran for a few years this way

electric fans not working - Fans working
faulty reservoir tank cap - Could be a possible
broken thermostat - Could be, but the temp went down when rolling
stuck water pump - No smell or weird sounds, pump is fairly new
blocked radiator - New in the last couple years
I think I need to double check the level and go for a long drive and see what happens.
Thanks for the ideas everyone.

Did the low coolant warning come on.....sounds like a really bad air bubble to me

If the cap is OK - maybe you have a crack in the expansion tank (top) - loosing pressure?
I had this happen on mine - didn't loose much coolant - caused the sensor to go nuts

Do you still have the front cooling flaps?
But I did just pull the front cooling flap control module from under the passenger sill cover to make room for my new car alarm. Could this be affecting my fans somehow?
