Default DFW "Tech Session" Saturday 6/16??!!!

Well, once again it is time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Coverage starts this Saturday 6/16 at 6:30am on Speed with a couple of pre-shows, with live coverage beginning at 7:30 am. It will run until 10:00 am at which time it breaks until resuming live again at 4:30 pm, til 6:00 and then again from 7:00 onward unto the end Sunday morning.

I think we're in need of a tech session.....what can we do? Anyone need to do a project or two and would like help and/or moral support? Maybe we can just look at and discuss 928's while watching Flying Lizard Motorsports represent the US with their two 911 GT3RSR's in the GT2 class??

The Tech Session can also focus on "fluids"-I've still got the 1.75L bottle of rum Risky brought over when we dropped my 911 engine in April and a nice 750ml bottle of Glenfiddich courtesy of Rob Roy.

Chips, dip, beer and whatever can be figured out.

My thought is I can record the morning's segment and then rerun it at 2:00 or so and then pick up live coverage at 4:30.

What'dya think?

I'd love to come up, but I'm working on steering rack, motor mounts & oil pan gasket this weekend. Also, the car isn't going anywhere until the rear fenders get flared.

Maybe next time!

Stepson definitely needs A/C. I'm up for it, Ed.

I was thinking early afternoon-early evening or so, but whatever is the consensus, is fine with me.

Count me in for whatever. I have several projects that need to be done but I don't think we can do a MM/Pad gasket in that amount of time.

Ectually, this Sat PM is good for me too. My plane is in the shop for annual, the kids are doing band/gym stuff and I have a day of nothing planned. Let me know what I can bring besides my jolly, beer-draining ego. Maybe I'll go up to Roger's and wail on the MM job and beg him to fiddle with my Ferrari CIS injection. Anyone else knowledgable on CIS please stop by for some laughs at my expense. I can flatbed it up there, and hopefully drive it back......hahahahahha, Like to watch some racin' too.

Well, maybe plan on starting up at 1 or 2? As I mentioned, I'll record the morning's stuff and start the pre shows at 1, and the race at 2.

I'll have plenty of the aforementioned booze, but if you want to bring your own beer, and some munchies, we'll be set. I'll make up some guacamole and something else.

Bump....

Update: Second qualifying test session, Aston a little faster than Corvette... and Porsche 911's just a bit off the Ferrari pace.

I guess we can padlock the bottles? It'll be the continuation of my 50th b-day celebration for me, however. The Party starts tonight with a steak at Pappas....
