Third Coast???
I see that Sharktoberfest has been scheduled:
http://www.sharktoberfest.com/home.htm
And will be Oct 19th-21st...
And last year you guys down in Texas had your meet in the first half of Nov...
See where I'm going with this?
If the two were close enough together I would make a vacation out of it and hit them both...
Any News?

No firm plans as yet - probably 10th & 11th November.
As soon as we agree the date I will post.
There is a possibility that the meeting will take place at Motor Sport Ranch so the date has to be flexible to meet that eventuality.
If not MSR then Marble Falls.

Well I'm cool with whatever you guys decide, I'm just trying to plan for my next vacation.
I've made it to Sharktoberfest two years running, and was thinking to hit that again this year, then head east to Texas, hang with friends and relatives in Dallas, till the Third Coast event, then motor back to Washington.

After hearing John, AKA soontobered, say multiple times that Marble Falls was 'the most fun he's had with his clothes on'.......
just HOW do you propose a 'track event' take it's place?
I'm in... but after SITM -- my vote is for a 'road trip, bro!'...And yes, let's coordinate with our 'northern brethren'...
Shane, perhaps you can rally a spin-off caravan from Sharktoberfest....
Uh, of course, your relatives might have something to say 'bout that!. . .
Let's make this happen!

DO IT UP REALLY BIG -- SEA TO SHINING SEA...and then some!
Hey Shane,
Think about making it a 'deluxe porsche vacation package' -- join in on the festivities at RENNSPORT REUNION III in Daytona, November 1-4th...
Billed as the 'Porsche event NOT to be missed'...
Not a PCA event, but a Porsche AG venue...

Either way -- look forward to catching up with you soon!

Shane-- Sounds like an opportunity to circumnavigate the lower 48. Dutch Harbor to Alaska civilization somewhere, plus maybe two more hops to get 'home' to Washington where the fun starts. South to Socal, east to Daytona (wave to family as you pass...), then back to Texas for Third Coast, north from there to pick up I90, then west through the Rockies and Cascades. 'Home' again in time to hook up the maintainer, hop a shuttle to SEATAC with clean socks on, and back to Dutch Harbor.
We need to figure out how to get cruise ships to stop at Dutch Harbor. We need someting more cultural than 'deadliest catch' to lure them in. Thoughts?

Actually my thoughts were running along the same lines...
Talk about maximizing the driving experience! And what better car to do it in!! Have always wanted to go to Daytonna but that event is usually held in February.
Actually there is a Cruise Line that stops in Dutch Harbor twice a year.
