IIRC all are available for rent - someone else may know better.

Ed,

A GT3 will be allowed if there are some of us that were to be allowed rides/drives.

That, and before the '91 is sold, certain cosmetic pieces transfered to another car in need.

We'll choose a hotel in Granbury as the main gathering point. We'll do dinner/drinks Friday and Saturday night in that area.

For the track stuff, I have a house and garage there that will servce as home base. www.BigBendVilla.com

Helmets & suits are $15/day

Insurance is not a huge issue. If you have no track experience you will not be allowed to do anything stupid. You'll be in a lead & follow group with no passing. If you are Blue SOLO approved you'll be in the open run group with DE type passing rules. We may have more formal instruction available, more info to come later.

+1 for Rob's point about insurance. We'll have less risk on the track than the drive down there. We're not going to run fender-fender, and will be very controlled in our operation. Safety is the #1 priority. Even in the fast run groups at PCA DE's, there are no incidents, as everything is very specific.

PS: Shane, if you're looking for someone named HelmUt down here, your best to bring your own....

Are we sure soontobered and killav got the memo -- NO BUMPER CARS???
I can only assume they didn't intend to make contact at SITM...

Sterling, I think you are 'spot on' re: each individual consulting with their insurance carrier...
It's the LACK of insurance that can be 'HUGE'...

I am not writing this to 'burst anyone's bubble'...
just to make sure that, as Sterling, mentioned, each participant knows their individual limitations re: their coverage.
I see it all too often. . .

What ever became of the change in TX Insurance Law that was a subject of a Renn thread:

Safety is the #1 priority. .
No 'sad surprises' #2, perhaps -- 'Research and do your homework, be prepared and have a good time!'

Yeah, I plan on bringing him, but for reference I'll be renting a helmEt and suit.

I'll most likely leave early from WA state and give myself time to enjoy your fine state prior to the get together.
