by the way, you can make risers for the rear wing, and have some pretty decent downforce. make sure you use about a 8-10 degree inclination too. Ive still posted my best times without the GT3 wing at Sears Point, by almost a half a second. there is more safety margin now with the rear wing, but i dont think it really bought me a whole lot of time, compared to the GTS wing and risers.

Keep them in the original location and get rid of the darth vader look. (Not trying to be a smart ***) Driver safety should be your first and foremost concern. If the guy behind you can't see your brake lights.....well... you can guess the rest.
Awesome looking track shark. I can appreciate the amount of work you put into her, its not easy nor cheap. Enjoy!

Mark,
Willow Springs is our home track! We are going to be up there Sept. 8-9 with OTR (Open Track Racing) They have rented the "Road Course" for the weekend and we are going to use the time to sort out the car! I would like to spend a little time with you on the phone ( Suspension and wing set-up) I got your e-mail and will call you in the next couple of days! Thx again.

This is the solution to the rear brake lights! At twelve noon, and a block down the street, the LED lights shine nice and bright.Does anyone think that this is not an acceptable solution? Jim Bailey!!! What do ya think?

It would appear to me that the retention of brake lights in PCA rules is only required in stock class and even then it just says that they be retained but not exactly how they be retained. That being said I don't think this car will be in a stock class. If that's the case there is no mention of needing to retain the lights in the upper classes. I might have missed it though. As for SCCA, ITE class since it is an anything goes on DOT tires I would guess that brakelights are also optional alhtough the GCR requries two red brakelights on all non-formula cars. I would check with a tech guy for the region you are going to run in just to make sure those are okay. Brakelights are not required for wheel to wheel. Many formula cars do not have brake lights (I wish they did sometimes.)

The picture makes it look just a bit small and focused but would be OK for POC rules in my opinion. It might be better with some type of diffuser or maybe a second light to spread the light.. As put together the car would be put in a highly modified POC class....it would compete against Mark A. and Joe Fan with all the other none turbo race cars...You would soon learn how a large boulder feels in the middle of the river or what it means to be a rolling chicane...The real key is just go do it ! most groups realize the objective is to have FUN .

Jim - and everyone else,
Thanks for your input! The picture is a little out of focus (sorry bout that!) these are DOT legal replacement LED bulbs and believe me they are BRIGHT!
The picture just does not capture it unfortunately.
