AMERICAN LEMANS SERIES RACE #6 - LIME ROCK, CT!
With the memory of a fun gtg @ SITM, here's another opportunity to rally together --
the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock, in Lakeville, CT, the weekend after July 4th!
Here's the link to the Porscheplatz Schedule of Events for Lime Rock, CT, ALMS Northeast Grand Prix, July 6th and 7th:
LIME ROCK PORSCHEPLATZ SCHEDULE
And a map of the track:
TRACK MAP - LIME ROCK PARK
For ticket information:
New England Grand Prix: Call 800-722-3577 or 860-435-5000 ext 306.
If you haven't done it before, the PORSCHEPLATZ PARADE LAP is definitely not to be missed!
The Porsche Parade Lap will take place EARLY SAT AM.
Sign-up will begin on FRIDAY, with a 50 car limit for SATURDAY'S early parade.
A 'rendevous of Renner's' has been suggested on other forums...
If Renner's are participating in the PORSCHEPLATZ parking, events and / or parade, the Porscheplatz Corral / tent area sounds like a natural meeting place...
Whatever works!
For further event info, contact me at: kzeh at imsaracing.net (at = @)
Any sharks planning on attending??
Ernest, still planning on going? - I'll be sure to have some more photog questions for ya!
See you there!
Kim
* Info is provided fee-free

My wife I and will be there, but without the shark. We're flying up from Ormond for the race. It should be a great race and a good oppurtunity for a shark gathering!
Well I'll need to rent a car, maybe hertz can get a 928 for me.

Full boat PorschePlatz 2 day treatment. Maybe they'll even have a fancy cordoned off area so my ugly paint won't infect those other porsches.
Kim subliminally planted the idea of staying in WaterBury so I'm staying in Waterbury.
Too bad it's so far from the track. (It's not that far but those dinky CT roads are local roads with low speed limit and unfamiliar enforcement)
Lime Rock. A little right hand oval with a left kink.

WE'RE STARTING TO RALLY . . . YEAH! ANYONE ELSE???
Russell,
Up from FL, eh? If only you were driving a Porsche up -- there's a 'Distance Driven' award, you know . . .
Stan,
Thanks for setting me straight - the 928 OC is a 'homeless organization!'
And, I'm thinking, you would have the inside scoop...a reliable source, indeed:
928 OC INFO
Thanks for passing the word on, as well.
928 and RC51,
I appreciate the offer, Carl. My 'homeless NE status' has gotten around, eh?
Actually, for this trip I have accomodations. I will be in CT through the 9th! (Taking a little time to play in my old sandbox!)
And keep up those great car finds!
Brian B,
Wish I could spend more time vacationing in NE/Cape/Islands...Happy you are making time for BOTH!
Ernest,
Greatly saddened to report that I 'lost' my D-80 at a victory crew house dinner party while at Block Island last week...
Along with just shy of 2GB of images...(including SITM).
Nice to open up Rennlist to one of my shots, anyway... I hope to have a new D-80 by Lime Rock...
Anthony,
It will be good to meet you and your 'avatar car', though I think I am partial to Amazon Green & Cashmere...
(Though the 94 3.6 is a pretty sweet ride!)...
PM me for contact information BY JULY 3rd...
I will be working various parts of the venue, including the Porscheplatz, but will have time to gtg, if anyone is interested...

I shot the boat Cap'ns' kids/grandkids after the dinner party...left my D-80 (?on the table again?)
A while later a few of us ventured out to Mohegan Bluffs - down the 200' flight of stairs...at night in the moonlight...and frolicked in the sand and surf.
No D-80 there for sure, but it was 'near orgasmic' for a moonchild Yankee whose been hanging in Tex-A$$...

Oh yeah -- remind me to tell you about US Air losing my luggage for four days....
See You Soon!

Distance driven award gets a free set of ANY 4 Yokohama tires. It only takes 304 miles to get them in Texas at the Houston race. I know, I've got them two years running.
Last year, I got $900 worth of Advans for free. This year, I may use the certificate for a set of track tires on the 911. Or, I may decide to burn my current set on the 928 up with a lot of burnouts. What to do, what to do?
Kim, you're going to get bounced out of the DFW group for "non-residency"..

The OBS has a fuel pump leak which I discovered back home in the garage after its blown tire and I'm not sure the GT will be back in my hands yet (the other GTS quarter should be here any day), but I do have the winter car, nothing like a day at the track, regardless!
[By the way, I did have the fuel pump buzz on long trips on warm days in April/May...doesn't guarantee a relationship but may provide additional insight into the buzz...]
