Default Which Zaino to use for 928s?

There are several different Zainos; for clear coat, non-Clear Coat, All in One....
Mine is an 86.5. Which is the proper Zaino for 928s?

Thanks...

Zaino, is that the stuff that costs $100 in Griots garage but the stuff at Fleet Farm is only $10 because it's really turtle wax in the same bottle?

Or is that Zymol?

I dunno, I use Meguiars

FWIW, I have been using Zaino for about 5 years. I use it on my "driver" cars that are not being concoursed and need good protection while still having that "enthusiast" look. The stuff lasts well too !

Some folks feel that Zaino has too wet a look. I'll leave that for the concourse folks. Personally, I like it a lot more than most all of the other products and it is easy to use and does not chalk in the body cracks and trim pieces.

For selecting Zaino, it's not so much that your car is a 928 but more whether or not it is a solid color or metallic as well as is it orignal paint. If your car is a re-paint, you should verify clear coat or not with a little polish on a microfiber towel.

If your car is OEM Porsche metallic, it is a clear coat and you should used Zaino Z2. If your car is a solid color like white, black, red or Dark Blue, then use the Z3.

Zaino needs to dry before being buffed off. It also likes getting two light coats applied and not one heavy coat. I like to use the ZFX accelerator as I can do the two coats very quickly within one detailing session and not have to wait the regular drying time. It's pricey to buy but make for a much faster detailing session.

Check out http://www.lazaino.com for some nice instruction in addition to the Zaino website. The couple who run LA Zaino are great car folks and are very helpful to get you started with Zaino without breaking your bank account.

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer / user.

Enjoy !
