Heres a pretty cool set up! Hey Chris, you need a set of these on your GT to put that cowl hood to work!

This is the same set up I have for my SB Chevy (Hilborn). It's generally referred to as an IR or individual runner intake; I think Tony's saying TB or throttle body. Individual throttle body?

Those look like Weber carbs to me...

(See the fuel hoses down the center.)

Hmmmm...
Now if those were Carbs. Would it still need an LH brain? What about igniton timing etc?? Pretty curious set up if they were. Wonder how much HP/TQ it puts out? Anyone?

It must be crank triggered, with coil packs, there aren't any distributors!

This setup looks like all top end, no fancy flappy flat torque curves.

That would look pretty cool on the GT Tony!!!! I think I'll wait for an Eaton S/C kit though. I sure have the hood clearance for it. I wonder how that thing runs, and what the power curve looks like?? <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Those look a lot like the Weber 48IDA's that have graced the tops of several motors that have passed through my garage over thge years. I believe I have a more than complete set of tuning parts for these, with chokes, aux air, bypass main & idle jets, emulsion tubes... Get the idea? It's more than a casual job getting them set up correctly, and they will NEVER be as smooth, deliver as much power, etc, as a well-set-up EFI system.

We really need a dual-plane or adjustable-volume intake setup, with individual throttles directly over each inlet valve pair. Do the intake mass flow measurement upstream of all this, of course, and inject fuel just like it is done now. You'd have all the fun of tuning and adjusting to keep all those throttle balanced, and still avoid all the other tuning issues that go along with multiple carburation setups like the Webers in the red racer.
