Very cool Dave.

Now I'm thinking that my static little avatar pic is too boring!

Wish I knew how to create animated gifs.

Thanks Randy, it's just a quickie I rattled off last night and it'll do for just now although i'm not quite sure of the symbolism - are the flames showing energy and power, or Char Grilled's party trick of spontaneous combustion - or maybe the flames are coming from my wallet!

Cheers

Cool

Randy -
I was going to do this for my car, but your car would be more interesting I think.

Take a sequence of digital photos (more is better, at the same height/distance, preferably a plainish background) in a circle around your car and send them to me. I'll subtract the background and make a .GIF that shows a walkaround of your car.

That would be neat Ken.

My digital camera can take short movie clips - would that work?

Sorry, I don't have a program to convert from mpeg. It would be difficult to maintain the height/distance too, unless you can get a track and dolley!

If you have a tripod, that would be best. Otherwise a stool or a box to rest the camera on, so the view is the same. I can fake it a little so it doesn't have to be perfect.

This would be cool too - save the front shot for last. Keeping the camera in the same spot, manually raise the headlamps a little at a time and take a picture, then on the last shot, turn them on.
