Avatars
You can now post your own avatars. Go to "My Profile" and add the photo address directly. I was tipped off about this when browsing the 944 board (credit where credit is due) Nice new feature!

OK - Here is a tip...
If you had a Custom Avatar that I set up for your previously - you can still use them...!!!
It's really quite simple....
First - Open "my profile", then "View/Update Profile"...
Next - open the Avatar area and "Select a different Avatar Image" ... You will an area for "Use Custom URL". Now enter this URL:
<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/member/{youruser#}.jpg" target="_blank">http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/member/{youruser#}.jpg</a>
So, for example if your User # is "1" (that's me
) you would use this URL:
<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/member/1.jpg" target="_blank">http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/member/1.jpg</a>
or to use Bob's as an example - he would have put:
<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/member/6098.jpg" target="_blank">http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/member/6098.jpg</a> (apparently, I didn't upload one for Bob previously )..!
Now - select that Avatar (it might look funny in the preview box, but it will show just fine!!)[/b]

What's the difference between 'My Picture' and the Avatar now?
What I've noticed:
Now UBB Classic version 6.3.1.1
The cal custom avatar is nice. I noticed that the avatar can be a .GIF which means you could use animated .GIFs, ie movie clips, etc.! Though this might get to be annoying...
Graemlins, images, URLs, etc. insert into text at the cursor, instead of the end of the post.
The quick reply is cool too. Along with the preview post, especially for me since I edit my posts to death!
