Sounds like you've been had ... I'm very happy with the deal I got on my "Sayko Quarts" watch though....

I was ripping some CDs over the weekend -- the PS3 uses an online service to I.D. the discs, assign track names, etc.... At one point I notice that some of the tracks I've imported show titles in some kind of Chinese/Japanese characters, except the artist is "Red Zeppelin". No kidding.

Shrooms will do that to you. I understand tho. It's just tough to listen to Zeppelin without them. Even if it is 'Red'.

I just received delivery of the Bosch 044 FP that I ordered 2 days ago from Jayracing.com

And.... nothing (and I mean nothing, no FP, no emails) yet from the ebay seller so I started the dispute with paypal and my bank.

Forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question, but does the 928 use a 'generic' fuel pump ?

Would be surprised if the Chinese were making copy-pumps to a car that went out of production 12 years ago - and was produced in such limited numbers. (In that case, nothing seems safe anymore...)

If the Chinese or anyone else are making copies of these pumps I hope they copy the inside as good as they copy the outside, the box and the label :-))).

Here's some discussion on that: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/353981-are-those-bosch-fuel-pumps-on-ebay-for-cheap-or-fakes.html
The Chinese are indeed making parts for applications you wouldn't think had the volume to justify it, 928 water pumps for example. the Bosch fuel pumps are universal.

As a note - I would be VERY CAREFUL of this "vendor" (or whateveryouwanttocallhim....)

I got a wonderful e-mail from another Rennlister asking me to post this "heads-up" - and this link is from the Forum he runs. The link below starts at page 4 in the thread. It's a large Forum, nearly as large as Rennlist...

READ THIS THREAD BEFORE BUYING FROM THIS PERSON..!!

Same "vendor" as being discussed here.

Caveat emptor....

Have a good evening!

Oeff, paypal was a bit slow with the dispute so I got my bank envolved. My bank refunded me the $150 in less than 3 days that paypal took off my bank account and paypal finally refunded the rest of the cash I had in my PP account. So its a happy ending for me, they even refunded the shipping fee since he never shipped the item.

The total price was $205 or so. I had about $55 cash in my PP account and $150 was the amount of the ACH from my bank account. If I knew 928intl had them for that price I would have bought it from them. Are you sure we are talking about 044 pumps or 045?

Once the boat from China finally shows up we can again be awash in "Bosch 044" fuel pumps and all those Ebay sellers can get their ratings back up. By then everyone will strangely enough need to replace their bad "Bosch" pump so the cycle goes on, next time though the Ebay sellers will have the Chinese load more "Bosch" pumps on the boat so we wont have any more of these problems and everyone will be happy with the unlimited supply of "genuine Bosch" pumps!
