Beware: ebay seller expressfuelpumps (bosch 044 FP)
I ordered a FP on 05-05-07 and so far the seller lied 3x that it has been shipped. He has not returned my emails leaving me no other option than to dispute the item. He still states getting items as fast as May 24th and 28 available fuel pumps. Yeah right.
Just a word of caution. ;,.

I got mine on eBay from a guy called the fuelpump king or something like that. He said he had the correct pump and he did. It had the correct part number and was half the price. I don't know him and have only purchased one pump so far though.
Sorry to hear about your mishap. Damn eBay is getting worse. I give it 5 more years before the scams outweigh the deals. Just me

After readng your response I was expecting you paying better attention to his feedbacks, not only for the last month feedback (I purchased the item on May 5th) but the last 12 months feedback, the volume that he sells and supposedly the amount of items he has in stock ready to be shipped.
So much for trying to give people the heads up on a dishonest seller.

Was in Mark Anderson? (928 Intl) who ordered a fuel pump out of curiosity from eBay because the guy was selling them for way less than he could buy them as a dealer and he concluded that the one he received was a Chinese "clone"....i.e., not really Bosch. It's posted in a thread somewhere here.
Question: How would one tell a faked Bosch fuel pump from a real Bosch? In Paraguay once I bought a "genuine Omega" wrist watch for $10 and it ran a week before it died. Mickey Mouse watch inside. It was so nice that I wore it anyway for a while just for the looks (I was young then). Would a Chinese knockoff fuel pump be the same? That is, look good on the outside but be Mickey Mouse inside? I'm not criticizing anyone on this since, if this guy really is selling the genuine thing, or even well done rebuilts (but not in China), at half price, then I might want to buy a couple at those prices.
I'll start a thread on this and see if anyone knows how to tell.

Typically there will be some spellin' errors to be found on Chinese knockoffs of anything from handbags to wristwatches. Maybe it will say Bosh on the side or something.

My wife has a $10 Prada purse bought on the street in NYC. It came complete with a plastic Prada badge glued on the side. That badge even has faux rivets molded into the plastic to make it look like it's riveted on. Maybe it really is a Prada, they spelled it right.

Btw, I just ordered my FP from JayRacing.com for $200.00 minus shipping. I left a voicemail requiring a return call to see if they had them in stock. Jay called me back in 5 minutes. I ordered my pump and it will be shipped today. As of today I have not received a single email from the ebay seller.
