This is actually a hardware mod for the remote display: http://www.radardetector.net/viewtopic.php?t=23121

Well..actually I do own one...still have it..the original Fox XK....spectacular unit..beats all the rest hands down....and it's from the 80's...no challenge..and can say that over the time I had it I didn't get any tickets...so it must be the best ......

That said...when I finally get off my butt ..beat this last ticket (no protection)...I'll get the V1... Thanks.

The Passport SR1 I have (two of them) and the ZR3, have their receivers mounted at the licence plates.
H, I haven't ignored this point -- The only blind spot this creates for me IMHO is from the rear & above. Since radar from the rear can almost always be beaten(due to procedure requirements/impeachable witness/etc.) I don't mind so much.

LOL awww cmon man, none of this is meant as a personal affront. You're a bareback speeder, we all know it. I remember how you used to drive by the sound of the engine because your instrument lights were out, so your speedo was invisible

Thanks for that, H... Another thing to consider -- look at how many people cringe at a $400 price tag for a fine instrument like the V1.... These folks are not likely to want to spend 3x that amount for the SR1/SRX.
