Ya, Don, you should be using Jet B... <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
Kerosene..... deisel..... whatever! <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />
My '86.5 runs well on regular (87) without the "jumper" connected. No knock under any conditions. I live at 3500' and regularly run to 5000', which might make WOT more rich than they anticipated. Pehaps that's why I haven't seen any ping.

One note, I get better gas milage with the lower octane gas too. Once every third or fourth tank I'll add some Techron to my gas to keep the fuel system as clean as possible.

My '83 will run on 89 but it runs much better on 93. Most of the time I use 94 octane Sunoco, which I am sure is giving me better response even though some of you will say that it's only perceived HP.
For you west coast guys the 94 is $1.79 here right now, 4c higher than 93.
Just my opinion. - Dave
