Ok ok honestly I have never even sat in a 928. I was attempting to compliment but if I'm wrong so be it. The torqueyness is based of the obvious fact that V8's have lots of low end torque. And the styling assumption is based because when people walk up to me they always say "Hey nice 928" then I have to explain the error of their ways. Once they hear it's a 4 cylinder they lose intrest. I think it does look 928 with a 993 glued to the front and a 944 pasted to the back. BTW why don't you take me for a ride. Then I could see what it's like. Although the saying goes "You never ever meet your childhood hero's"

I'm guessing you spent around 11-13K for that wonderful "mini shark" of yours... really decent pre S4 928 can be had for half that. now, if you don't like anything other than the later sharks, I would agree with you... a 1993 GTS is going to cost alot more than your 1993 968. but, if you just like sharks, trust me, you can own one.

Also I financed the 968 so I pay 1,300 a month on car payments, (at that rate it will be paid off in Dec) so buying a second car is impossible. BTW if you are looking for a 968 in the NorCal area there is a beautiful wimbilton green one with the sport package for 12.5k

Galva, no offense taken, I was just curious about what frame of reference you were using. The 968 is a very capable car, and yours would be absolutely gorgeous without the pizza sign.
It's just that the 968 to me feels like it's not even there below 3K rpm. Drive it like the rev-happy 4-banger that it is though, and it sure wakes up! The one I took for a test drive was for sale(That's the main reason I drove it -- I was curious enough to give it a whirl even though I wasn't buying) and I managed to get some white knuckles and shaky-voiced comments out of the owner.
Definitely a fun, capable car. Torquey compared to a 928? No.

Congrats on the 968.......at least it gets better gas mileage!!!! The cost per pizza delivered would be way too high in a 928!!!
You should try to make one of our norcal fun runs!!! You'll have a blast!!

You use your 968 for pizza delivering? The one time I got stuck taking my 951 for deliveries I confused everyone I delivered to. "Who the hell just pulled up in front of your house in a porsche? Oh, never mind, its just the pizza." But I've kept the camry around so the porsche doesnt' get stuck doing that.
I'll add you to my norcal 944 owner group list for the next time we do a run.
