In the first post it states the date as being June 15-17, but on the 928 spec website they list it as 1-3rd http://www.928gt.com/t-sitm.aspx
which is it? I am seriously tempted to go, anyone else from canada planning on attending??

First post is correct....Sharks At The Lake is June 15-17 at Lake Tahoe. Your link refers to Sharks In The Mountains, which is 928 Specialists gathering in North Carolina. Totally different events.

A little overdue but here is the info I promised for Sharks at the Lake 2007.
The host hotel is once again the Tahoe Biltmore and we have negotiated substantial discounts on the rooms. The Suites are now $129 + tax (down from $149) and the regular rooms are $59 + tax (down from $99). All rooms INCLUDE BREAKFAST. We are not limited on the lodging this year so anyone that wants to commit will be able to attend. The rooms are blocked out for us until May 15th then they will be released to the general public for reservations. GET YOUR RESERVATIONS IN NOW!!! The reservations desk for the Tahoe Biltmore is (775) 831-0660 or (800) 245-8667. Make sure you mention the “Sharks at the Lake” Porsche Event when you call to reserve your room. If you have any problems please shoot me a PM ASAP so I can correct them ASAP. As a refresher the dates are June 15th – 17th .
We will once again have exclusive use of the Balcony for the entire weekend and the hosted Welcome Party will be Friday from 4pm until 8pm. See if you can take a half day off and make the reception. You are welcome to hang out on the balcony after dinner Friday or Saturday afternoon after the drive. Cheryl & I will have the same hospitality suite as last year and this is where check in will be.
Don’t be shy and invite your spouse, S/O, friends, kids, whatever. I have not heard of anyone getting bored at this event in 3 years. There’s plenty to do even if you don’t want to go on the drives. Last year we were even playing musical cars with our passengers. For the new attendee’s our drives are not pedal to the metal events. We do not race on the public highways. We drive in a safe spirited manner and we have a sweeper car so you won’t get lost if you choose to slow down and just admire the views.
As a special treat we may get to see a certain NW scholars’ project, coming out for it’s debut. A new and improved “Beast” may make an appearance as well as Bill’s ORR tire burner. Maybe we can talk George into bringing his Super Sport 928 as well.
The Saturday night banquet will be the same menu as last year: The price on the banquet is $45 this year. (Up $4 from last year). Sorry about that! Send in your banquet checks ASAP with your entree selections:

Our Saturday drive will be totally different this year, slightly longer and very scenic. I think you will enjoy the change. The banquet will have lots of prizes and silly contests as always. Coming back for a 2nd time is the Saturday night “Video Poker Tournament”. Lots of smack here. Rich is gunning for a repeat victory. No chance dude, It’s mine, all mine! Sunday we will drive around the lake as usual (if Bill has any tires left he can join us ) and conclude the activities about 11:30 with a Fathers Day lunch at our home. We will have a new lunch menu this year, but I’m sworn to secrecy about that.
I think we will go ahead and use this thread as the “Official” Sharks at the Lake info source. If anyone has any questions please PM me. I wonder who will send the first check in this year? (There could be a small prize for the first one or two?)
More info to come later.

When making your reservations make sure you tell them it is for the "Sharks at the Lake" Porsche event. We have all of the rooms blocked so if you don't tell them that you will pay $119 for a regular room.
As always PM me if you have any problems.

In reality, I did have the 928 aligned a couple of weeks ago, and she drives much better.

My wife and I were going to be in, but the Nursing school my cousin is graduating from liked that weekend too. Hmm, family? 928? Hmm. We'll be headed up to Oregon for her event and another festive gathering in Sutherlin.
Have fun and enjoy the romp around the lake.
Ever been to Garwoods in Carnelian Bay? A place we like to go when the sun is shining.
